Tulum cenote Akumal tour from Cancun: ruins, cenote and turtles

Akumal is one of the Riviera Maya's best-known places for sea turtles and tropical fish. Guided snorkeling gives you a chance to encounter marine life in its natural environment, although wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed.

The contrast comes at Mariposa cenote, where you can swim in freshwater and unwind during the roughly two-hour stop at Canamayte Eco Park.

The tour includes round-trip transportation by air-conditioned bus, pickup and drop-off according to location, a guide, guided Tulum visit, admission and swimming at Mariposa cenote, guided Akumal snorkeling, life jacket, lockers, two bottles of water and buffet lunch.

Drinks with lunch, tips and mandatory fees are not included. The mandatory fees are USD 40 per adult and USD 25 per child, with reduced rates indicated for Mexican citizens with INE ID.

It works especially well for a first Riviera Maya visit if you want to combine Maya history, nature and snorkeling while leaving the transport between stops to someone else.

It may be less suitable if your priority is the lowest possible price, complete freedom at every stop or visiting only the Tulum ruins. It is not suitable for children under 2 or people who have recently undergone surgery.
